A Different Way of Working
This work is not about being fixed or healed.
It is about learning how you live in yourself — how you move, attend, sense, and respond — and discovering new possibilities from there.
I work with people in mid to later life who want to develop a more comfortable, intelligent relationship with themselves through embodied learning.
Why People Come
Many people I work with have already explored physical training, psychotherapy, or other forms of personal development.
They understand themselves reasonably well — and yet living in their body, or being with themselves, can still feel effortful, fragmented, or slightly out of reach.
Often there is a sense that something needs to shift — not dramatically, but fundamentally — in how one organises oneself.
This work begins there.

This Work Is For You If:
-
You have already worked on yourself — physically, psychologically, or both — and are looking for a more embodied, practical way to live with greater ease.
-
You are not looking to be fixed or treated, but are curious about how learning through attention and movement might open new possibilities.
-
You value subtlety and intelligence, and are willing to explore small changes rather than pursue dramatic interventions.
-
You sense that effort, willpower, or insight alone are not enough, and you would like tools you can return to in daily life.
-
You want to get on with yourself better — not only by analysing your past, but by discovering how you organise yourself in the present.
An Educational Approach
I see this work as guided learning.
Rather than focusing on what is wrong or trying to correct you, we pay attention to how you move, sense, and respond — and what becomes possible when those patterns shift.
You might think of it as a learning laboratory:
a space to develop awareness, choice, and self-regulation that you can carry into the rest of your life.
I hold the work with clinical seriousness, but without a treatment agenda.
I believe deeply in people’s capacity to support their own change through learning.
What People Often Notice
Over time, people often report:
-
greater ease and coordination
-
less unnecessary effort
-
improved capacity to regulate themselves
-
a clearer relationship with sensation and feeling
-
a renewed sense of agency and choice
Changes tend to be subtle, cumulative, and personal — and often extend well beyond the sessions themselves.
A First Conversation
If this way of working speaks to you, we can begin with a simple conversation — in person or online — to see whether it feels like a good fit.
There is no obligation.
Just an opportunity to ask questions and sense whether this approach supports what you are looking for.
"The sessions helped improve my posture and alignment by guiding me to become more aware of how my body moves. I felt more connected to my body, with a greater sense of balance and ease. I left each session feeling lighter and more grounded. I highly recommend Alex for anyone looking to enhance their body awareness and posture. Thank you!" Jenny from ArtyCat Faces
